Vineyard

Arietis comes from two historical parcels in Vandières, from the family branch of Alexis Leconte's grandmother, Bellier. These are La Perchotte, located at an altitude of 130 to 155 metres with a southern orientation and an area of 619 m², and La Forzie, at an altitude of 174 to 176 metres, also with a southern exposure and 301 m² in size. Together, they barely cover 920 m², which severely limits production. The soils are of Lutetian origin and are situated between two geological layers: first sand-limestone and above that clay-marl. Since 2015, the land has been cultivated entirely without herbicides or synthetic substances, using biodynamic methods and natural plant extracts. As of the 2023 harvest, the vineyards hold official organic certification.

Al vijf generaties lang bouwt de familie Leconte aan haar champagnehuis in Troissy, in de Vallée de la Marne. Aimé Leconte legde de fundamenten met respect voor de wijngaard, terwijl zijn zoon Xavier het domein moderniseerde met nieuwe productiemiddelen en doorgedreven bodemstudies. Sinds 2015 bepaalt Alexis Leconte de koers. Na ervaring in Bourgogne en de Elzas keerde hij terug naar het familiedomein met een duidelijke ambitie: Champagnes creëren die de identiteit van elk perceel zo zuiver mogelijk weerspiegelen.
