Vineyard
The grapes come from small parcels in Rosenberg, Hengst, Pfersigberg, and Steingrubler, totaling only 1.11 hectares. The vines are between 30 and 43 years old. The (relatively) steep vineyards have a highly varied soil composition, contributing to a complex wine. Yields are only 24 hl per hectare.
Winemaking
After manual harvesting, the grapes are pressed and undergo a slow fermentation initiated solely by indigenous yeasts. Maturation begins with 1 month of contact with the gross lees, followed by a more traditional 4-month maturation on fine lees. It contains 24.5 grams of residual sugar per liter. Production is 2,871 bottles.

Domaine Barmès-Buecher
Frankrijk · Alsace
