Vineyard
The vineyards are located in Bairrada, where the cool Atlantic climate allows the Baga grape to ripen slowly. This helps the grapes retain their lively acidity and develop a refined aromatic complexity. The maritime influence results in an elegant style with excellent aging potential. The terroir is still clearly expressed in the wine's freshness and minerality, even after ten years of bottle aging.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in small, traditional lagares, ensuring gentle extraction and a refined tannin structure. The wine then ages for 18 months in used oak barriques, keeping the fruit at the forefront. After barrel aging, an exceptionally long bottle aging period of ten years follows in the estate's cellar. This combination results in a complex, elegant, and perfectly developed Baga.

Vadio
Portugal · Bairrada
