Vineyard

Alexis Leconte's vineyards are located in the Vallée de la Marne, with plots in Troissy and Dormans, among other places. They are situated on geologically diverse terroirs, featuring layers of sand and sandstone, brown limestone on colluvium, and sandy clay, which contributes to the complexity and minerality of the grapes. The soil has been fully cultivated since 2015, and biodynamic practices have been employed since 2016. As of the 2023 harvest, the vineyards are officially organically certified. During the growing season, no herbicides or synthetic substances are used; instead, fermented plant extracts and infusions are applied to support the vitality of the vines.

Al vijf generaties lang bouwt de familie Leconte aan haar champagnehuis in Troissy, in de Vallée de la Marne. Aimé Leconte legde de fundamenten met respect voor de wijngaard, terwijl zijn zoon Xavier het domein moderniseerde met nieuwe productiemiddelen en doorgedreven bodemstudies. Sinds 2015 bepaalt Alexis Leconte de koers. Na ervaring in Bourgogne en de Elzas keerde hij terug naar het familiedomein met een duidelijke ambitie: Champagnes creëren die de identiteit van elk perceel zo zuiver mogelijk weerspiegelen.
