Appeal - Vacqueyras
Vineyard
The grapes come from various plots, all falling under the Vacqueyras label. Grenache Noir is used as the base for its structure and complex fruit aromas, as well as its spicy and licorice notes. Syrah contributes richness and tannins, and Mourvèdre provides aromatic expression. Most of the grapes come from lower-lying plots with sandstone and marl soils that originated in the Miocene epoch. A small portion comes from La Grande Terrasse Des Hautes Garrigues, which has Quaternary brown clay soil rich in rounded limestone pebbles and cobbles.
Vinification
The organically grown grapes are picked by hand. The different grape varieties undergo separate vinification in order to increase complexity and preserve the unique expression of the terroir. Maturation takes place in concrete vats.

Domaine Montvac
