Vineyard
The grapes come from different plots, all under the Vacqueyras label. Grenache Noir is used as a base for its structure and complex fruit aromas, as well as its spicy notes and liquorice; Syrah for its richness and tannins; and Mourvèdre for its aromatic expression. Most of the grapes come from low-lying plots with sandstone and marl soil dating back to the Miocene epoch. A small portion comes from La Grande Terrasse Des Hautes Garrigues, with Quaternary brown clay soil rich in round limestone cobbles and pebbles.
Vinification
The organically grown grapes are hand-picked. The different grape varieties undergo separate vinification to increase complexity and preserve the unique expression of the terroir. Maturation takes place in concrete vats.

Domaine Montvac
