Vineyard
The vineyards are situated on deep Garonne gravel with limestone and sand subsoils typical of Margaux. The soils provide excellent drainage and an elegant tannin structure. The estate is meticulously managed plot by plot, with significant attention paid to the selection of Cabernet Sauvignon from the best terroirs. 2016 was a classic “perfect Bordeaux year” with a warm summer and cool nights, combining ripeness and freshness. This resulted in exceptional balance and long aging potential.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by parcel and rigorously selected to retain only optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats with gentle, controlled extraction to preserve finesse. Maceration is adapted to the ripeness level of the fruit, focusing on elegance rather than power. Aging occurs for approximately 18 months in French oak, with a high proportion of new barrels (±75%). The result is a very precise, refined Margaux style emphasizing aromatic complexity and texture.
