Vineyard
The grapes come from two plots in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, located at an altitude of over 500 metres. The chalk and clay soils give the wine tension, structure and a subtle minerality. The blend combines old vines from 1970 (Los Pozos) with younger plantings from 2018 (El Espinal), resulting in both concentration and freshness. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand into small 15 kg crates to maintain optimal quality.
Winemaking
The grapes are pressed immediately so that only a light extraction of colour and flavour occurs. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a low temperature (around 15°C) in large oak foudres to preserve freshness. The wine then matures for four months on its fine lees in the same foudres, which adds extra texture and complexity without pronounced oak aromas. The result is a dry, fresh, and elegant Rioja Rosé with a soft, creamy structure.
