Vineyard

The vineyards are located in Saint-Bauzille-de-la-Sylve in the Hérault department, in the Languedoc. The Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights ensures good ripening of Cinsault and Grenache. Cinsault brings elegance and fresh fruit notes, while Grenache adds more roundness and ripeness. The sunny conditions result in aromatic grapes with a pronounced fruit profile.

Winemaking

The grapes are pressed directly to obtain a very light rosé color. This direct pressing also ensures a delicate fruit expression. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This optimally preserves freshness and aromatic intensity. The style remains light, juicy, and very drinkable.

In het hart van de Languedoc, in Saint-Bauzille-de-la-Sylve, ligt Mas de Janiny. Het domein kent een familiegeschiedenis van meer dan een eeuw. Vier generaties geleden zette Alfred Julien het familiebedrijf verder en stond hij mee aan de wieg van de lokale coöperatieve kelder. Zeventig jaar later kozen Pascal en Thierry Julien ervoor om een eigen koers te varen. Ze bouwden Mas de Janiny uit tot een zelfstandig domein en behoorden tot de pioniers van de biologische wijnbouw in de Languedoc. Vandaag zet ook de jongste generatie deze familiale traditie verder.
