Vineyard
The vineyards lie on the typical gravel and clay soils of Saint-Estèphe, with excellent drainage and heat retention. These terroirs particularly support Cabernet Sauvignon in terms of ripeness and structure.
Vinification
The grapes were hand-harvested between late September and early October 2019. After strict selection, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats, with adapted extraction to maintain a balance between power and finesse. Maceration lasts several weeks to develop color, tannins, and aromatic depth. The wine then ages for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels, a significant portion of which is new wood.

Château Phélan Ségur
Frankrijk · Bordeaux
