Vineyard
The Kristplonerhof vineyard is located on the slopes of the Tschögglberg with a southeast exposure. This location provides ample sun while maintaining freshness. The soils consist of loose porphyry with a sandy structure, which contributes to finesse and a light spiciness. The vines are trained using the pergola system, typical for the region. This terroir supports the elegant and quaffable style of Schiava.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at around 25°C to optimally extract color and aromas. Afterwards, the wine matures in stainless steel tanks, which preserves its fruitiness and freshness. No wood is intentionally used to maintain its light and juicy character. The winification focuses on drinkability and pure fruit. The result is an accessible, lively red wine.
