Vineyard

The grapes come from flat vineyards in Andau and Gols near Lake Heideboden, which lie at an altitude of 130 to 150 metres above sea level. Here you will find the typical "Seewinkelschotter" soil with lots of gravel. The vines are between 23 and 33 years old.

Vinification

The hand-picked bunches are destemmed and undergo spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After pressing, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in large wooden vats. Finally, the wine matures for 8 months in previously used 225-litre wooden barrels.
