Vineyard

The grapes come from vineyards in Goldberg, Altenberg and Schafleiten. The gravelly and dark soil consists of loamy sand with limestone deposits. Some plots also contain reddish pebbles. The average 31-year-old vines yield 35 hl per hectare.

Vinification

The bunches are hand-picked. Co-fermentation and maceration take 11 days and occur in stainless steel tanks. Finally, it matures for another 12 months in used barriques.
