Vineyard

The 31-year-old vines thrive in the Ungerberg vineyard. The topsoil consists of sandy loam with veins of limestone, resting on an iron-rich subsoil. The yield is 30 hl per hectare.

Vinification

The bunches are hand-picked. The co-fermentation and maceration take 14 days and occur in stainless steel tanks. Finally, it matures for another 15 months in barriques, 10% of which are new.
