Vineyard
Château La Pointe has approximately 23 hectares of vineyards on one of Pomerol's most diverse terroirs. The soils consist of gravel, pebbles, clay, and sandy clay soils originating from the terraces of the Isle River. This variation allows both rich Merlot and refined Cabernet Franc to express themselves optimally. The warm and dry summer of 2019 ensured perfectly ripe grapes with excellent concentration and balance. The result is a wine with both depth and freshness.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested plot by plot and vinified separately according to the classic Bordeaux methodology. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled vats to preserve maximum fruit expression and precision. The wine then matured for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels. The relatively high proportion of Cabernet Franc adds extra freshness and aromatic refinement to the blend. The style combines power with elegance and a remarkably refined structure.
