Vineyard
The estate comprises approximately 73 hectares of vineyards located on the famous Günz gravel terraces of Léognan. The subsoil consists of limestone, clay, and sand, which provides excellent drainage and deep rooting for the vines. The average age of the vines is about 30 years. The combination of gravel and clay yields wines with both power and refinement. This terroir is among the best in the Graves region.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested plot by plot and vinified separately to preserve the identity of each terroir. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats. After blending, the wine matures for approximately 12 months in French oak barriques, of which about 45% is new wood. This aging process adds extra structure, complexity, and refinement without dominating the fruit. The result is a classic yet modern Pessac-Léognan with great precision and elegance.
