Vineyard

The estate boasts approximately 73 hectares of vineyards on Léognan's famous Günz gravel terraces. The subsoil consists of limestone, clay, and sand, ensuring excellent drainage and deep root penetration for the vines. The average age of the vines is about 30 years. The combination of gravel and clay produces wines with both power and refinement. The terroir is among the best in the Graves region.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested plot by plot and vinified separately to preserve the identity of each terroir. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats. After blending, the wine matures for approximately 18 months in French oak barriques, of which about 65% is new wood. The aging provides extra structure, complexity, and refinement without dominating the fruit. The result is a classic yet modern Pessac-Léognan with great precision and elegance.
