Vineyard
Ried Gaisberg is located only 100 metres from Steinleithn, but shows a completely different character. The vineyard is characterised by deep loess layers rich in lime and humus, and is excellently ventilated. This soil is a prime example for Grüner Veltliner and promotes concentration and spiciness. The proximity of the Danube ensures temperature balance and freshness. Expressive, creamy yet tightly structured wines are produced here.
Winemaking
The grapes were harvested manually at the end of October and transported to the cellar in small crates. Vinification began with a whole-bunch pressing, followed by a slow, controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matured for a remarkable 19 months on its fine lees, which provided extra depth and texture. The style remains pure and precise, with no oak influence. The wine is also suitable for vegans.
