Vineyard

The grapes come from a vineyard in the hamlet of Le Grapiot. The terroir consists of a top layer of clay and limestone on a subsoil of grey marl.

Winemaking

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent 18-month maturation occurs in new 54 hl foudres. The ouillage technique is used, meaning the wine does not undergo the oxidative aging typical of the Jura. The entire vinification process proceeds without the addition of sulfites. The wine is bottled unfiltered and without sulfites.

Het verhaal van Domaine Désiré Petit begint in 1932 in het Jura-dorp Pupillin, de historische bakermat van de Ploussard. Sindsdien groeide het familiedomein uit van 1,5 naar 27 hectare, verspreid over de appellaties Arbois, Côtes du Jura en Château-Chalon. Vandaag leiden Damien en Anne-Laure Petit het domein, waar traditie en innovatie hand in hand gaan en de rijke wijncultuur van de Jura alle ruimte krijgt.
