Vineyard
Le Clos is one of the domain's best parcels. The soil consists of limestone and clay, a classic combination that brings both tension and breadth to the wine. The limestone provides lively acidity, while the clay adds extra richness and structure. The vines, averaging 45 years old, are among the oldest on the domain. The vineyard is organically farmed.
Winemaking
The harvest is transported by gravity directly to the pneumatic press. Fermentation takes place in 600-liter oak barrels, half of which are new. The wine then matures in the barrel for another 12 months. Before bottling, it is lightly filtered and given a small dose of sulfites to ensure stability and freshness. This aging gives the wine both structure and aging potential.

Domaine Jean-Christophe Perraud
Frankrijk · Bourgogne
