Vineyard
The 0.96-hectare plot is located on the Rosenberg, a hill in Wettolsheim with clay and limestone soil dating back to the Oligocene. The gently sloping flank has an east-northeast orientation. The average 30-year-old vines yield 33 hl per hectare. With 4,900 vines per hectare, this vineyard is somewhat less densely planted.
Winemaking
After manual harvesting, the grapes are pressed and undergo a slow fermentation, initiated exclusively by indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures on its lees for 10 months in foudres. It contains 1.3 grams of residual sugar per liter.

Domaine Barmès-Buecher
Frankrijk · Alsace
