Vineyard
The vineyards are located on the Eichberg, facing south, south-west, and south-east, at an altitude of 500-550 m. The soil consists of calcareous sand and gravel ("Sand & Schotter") combined with lime, ensuring good drainage, heat storage during the day, cooling at night, and minerality in the wine. The vines are approximately 15-35 years old.
Winemaking
The grapes were harvested by hand in mid-September 2023. Fermentation occurred spontaneously (without the addition of commercial yeast) and a biological / malolactic conversion was used. The wine matured for approx. 15 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling in April 2025, it was neither filtered nor fined, with minimal sulfur addition and natural cork.
