Vineyard
Rexarte originates from an exceptional plot of just 0.3 hectares on a north-facing slope in Bairrada. The transitional soil of sand to clay-limestone provides a perfect combination of elegance, freshness, and structure. The northern exposure ensures slow ripening of the grapes, optimally preserving aromas and acidity. Only dry, top vintages without rain during harvest are considered for this cuvée, making Rexarte the most refined expression of Baga.
Vinification
The grapes are exclusively selected from a single plot in exceptional harvest years and ferment in small vats, partly with whole bunches and exclusively with indigenous yeasts. During fermentation, manual pump-overs are performed to achieve gentle extraction. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages in used 500-liter French oak barrels, where it further refines without losing its terroir expression. The vinification is entirely focused on finesse, precision, and purity.

Vadio
Portugal · Bairrada
