Vineyard
The vineyard covers approximately 14 hectares in the heart of Pomerol. The soils are predominantly clay and gravel with excellent natural drainage. The old vines provide exceptional complexity and concentration. The 2023 growing season was characterized by moderate temperatures, early véraison, and optimal ripening without extreme heat. This resulted in a wine with great aromatic precision and remarkable balance.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested between 18 and 29 September 2023 and rigorously selected. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled wooden and stainless steel vats. Extraction was deliberately gentler than usual to preserve the elegance of the vintage character. The wine matured for approximately 20 months in French oak barrels, of which about 60% were new wood. The focus was entirely on finesse, precision, and terroir expression.
