Vineyard
The grapes come from flat plots near Lake Heideboden, located at 130 meters above sea level. Here you will find the typical "Seewinkelschotter" soil with a lot of gravel. The yield is 40 hl per hectare. The vines are between 25 and 35 years old.
Winemaking
The whole bunches are pressed. Fermentation, which takes 21 days, starts spontaneously in a mix of stainless steel tanks and used large wooden barrels. The wine then matures for 6 months on the lees in used 1000-liter acacia wood barrels. Here, its malolactic fermentation also takes place. This wine contains 1.2 grams of residual sugar per liter. No sulfites are added.
