Vineyard

The vines thrive on south-facing slopes on the Brauneberger Juffer overlooking the Mosel. These grapes come from old vines in the Juffer-Sonnenuhr sub-plot, which has an extremely steep gradient of 80%. The soil consists of slate. Cultivation is carried out in an ecologically responsible manner. Yields are very low.

Winemaking

The bunches are hand-picked. After a short maceration, pressing follows, after which fermentation is initiated by the indigenous yeasts. This process and the subsequent maturation take place in small stainless steel tanks. It contains 2.1 grams of residual sugar per liter.
