The grapes come from plots in Ungerberg, Altenberg, Seufertsberg, Spiegel, Goldberg, Schafleiten, and Zwicklacker. The diverse soil structures include black earth, clayey sand, red gravel, and limestone. The vines, which are between 18 and 59 years old, yield 35 hl per hectare.

Vinification

The bunches are picked by hand. Co-fermentation and maceration take 17 days. Finally, it matures for another 17 months in barriques, 10% of which are new.
