Vineyard
The parcels used for this Condrieu are located in La Caille, situated at a higher altitude and terraced. This allows the Viognier grapes to benefit from the sun all day, and the higher elevation ensures a beautiful balance and provides the grapes with the necessary freshness. The soil consists of granite, which is partially crumbling. Some vines are over a century old. Great attention is paid to biodiversity in the cultivation of the vineyards.
Winemaking
The bunches are hand-picked and undergo direct pressing, which is done very slowly. Fermentation and subsequent ageing take place in one 600-litre demi-muid and wooden barrels. Production in 2021 is only 1,500 bottles.
