Vineyard
The Mâcon-Vinzelles appellation is particularly small, covering only 32 hectares in total. This cuvée comes from a single vineyard, Les Morandes, located on the border of Pouilly-Vinzelles. The soils are argilo-calcaire, a combination of clay and limestone that gives both richness and tension to the wine. The vines are on average 40 years old, contributing to concentration and depth. The terroir yields wines that are rare but highly regarded for their quality.
Winemaking
The harvest is brought in by gravity and then pressed. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, which enhances the terroir expression. Half of the cuvée matures in 600-litre oak barrels, while the other half is aged on fine lees in stainless steel. After 12 months, both parts are blended, lightly filtered, and bottled. This approach combines freshness, texture, and subtle oak influence.

Domaine Jean-Christophe Perraud
Frankrijk · Bourgogne
