Vineyard
The vineyards are located on steep, south-facing slopes between 200 and 400 metres above sea level. The Gran Sasso and Maiella mountain ranges protect the area from extreme weather conditions. At the same time, the proximity of the Adriatic Sea provides a cooling influence. This microclimate helps to combine ripe fruit with fresh acidity. The soils consist of limestone and clay, ideal for Montepulciano.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested when fully ripe to emphasize the rich character of Montepulciano. After destemming, a classic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with regular pump-overs to extract color and structure. Maceration lasts several days to develop soft tannins and aromatic intensity. The wine then matures further in tank or partly in wood to achieve balance and roundness. The result is a fruit-driven yet structured wine.
