Vineyard
The 0.52-hectare, east-facing plot lies on the flank of the Hengst hill that towers over Wettolsheim. The soil consists of marl and limestone that originated in the Oligocene. There are 5,400 vines per hectare. The average 40-year-old vines yield 40 hl per hectare.
Winemaking
The harvest is done manually and is followed by pressing. Fermentation is started by indigenous yeasts. The 11-month aging on lees takes place in old demi-muids and small oak barrels. It contains 1.7 grams of residual sugar per liter.

Domaine Barmès-Buecher
Frankrijk · Alsace
