This Vosne-Romanée comes from a small parcel in the climat Les Ormes, located on the chalky slopes of the Côte de Nuits. The clay-limestone soil gives the wine its characteristic combination of depth, refinement, and minerality.

Vinification

After complete destemming, the grapes undergo a short cold maceration, after which fermentation starts spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. During vinification, gentle extractions are chosen to preserve the finesse of the fruit. The wine then matures for about 18 months in Burgundian oak barrels, 50 to 75% of which are new wood.

Zoals de naam van het domein al doet vermoeden, is Charlopin Tissier het gezamenlijke levenswerk van Justine Tissier en Yann Charlopin. Na hun ontmoeting tijdens hun wijnstudies in Beaune bouwden ze vanaf 2012 stap voor stap hun eigen domein uit in Morey-Saint-Denis. Hun visie steunt op drie pijlers: familiaal, traditioneel en gepassioneerd.
