Located on steep slopes with excellent sun exposure. The soils consist of clay and puddingstone, typical for Jurançon. High-altitude plots provide freshness and tension in the wine. Low yields guarantee concentration. Everything is done by hand with great respect for biodiversity.

Manual harvest on the plots of Caubeigt, Tauzy and terraces. Slow pressing of whole bunches. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Ageing on fine lees in oak and grès barrels. Organic viticulture.

Domaine Castéra is al sinds 1885 in handen van de familie Lihour en behoort vandaag tot de vaste waarden van Jurançon. Op 11,5 hectare, met uitzicht op de Pyreneeën, zet Franck Lihour de familietraditie verder. Het domein focust volledig op de karaktervolle druivenrassen die deze historische appellatie wereldwijd bekend hebben gemaakt.
