Vineyard

The vineyards are located on the clay-limestone slopes of Puisseguin, one of Saint-Émilion's satellite appellations. The estate comprises approximately 13 hectares of vines within a total property of 25 hectares. The average age of the vines is around 35 years. Hedges, trees, and a pond promote biodiversity around the vineyards. The clay-limestone soils ensure good water management and give the wine both concentration and freshness.

Vinification

After a strict selection of the grapes, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled concrete vats. After malolactic conversion, the best batches are selected for aging in French oak barrels. The aging process lasts approximately 12 to 14 months. This involves using one-third new barrels, one-third second-year barrels, and one-third third-year oak barrels. This approach ensures subtle wood integration without overpowering the fruit.

Château La Vaisinerie

Frankrijk · Bordeaux
