Vineyard
The 27 plots are situated on the banks of the dried-up Fiume Seccu river on the slopes of Capu Bracaghju. Their biodynamically cultivated vineyards lie on a 350-million-year-old granite plate that has since been very slowly eroding and crumbling. The complex soil consists of monzogranite composed of metamorphic rock with a high content of silica, potassium, magnesium, and manganese. The higher-lying vineyards are richer in sand, while lower down you find more loam and clay. The alluvial deposits from the 1937-meter-high Montegrossu give an extra pigment to the soil composition.
Winemaking
Vinification starts with a 10-hour skin maceration. After this, the grapes are slowly pressed, and fermentation begins in oak barrels using indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for 12 months in new 500-litre oak barrels.

Clos Culombu
Frankrijk · Corse
